The NFPA 99 requires that all operating room personnel and support staff be trained annually on the purpose, functionality, and the maintenance of the Line Isolation Monitor or (LIM). An Isolated Power Specialist technician will train your onsite staff in a classroom setting or in an actual operating room, if available, or both. All LIMs are required to be certified annually.
Certification of the LIM can only be performed by certified Isolated Power Specialist technician. Requirements by NFPA 99 will be included in the training handbook for references. A training session is conducted with your hospital / facility medical and maintenance personnel on how to handle LIM equipment alarms or malfunctions. The Field Test Reports and Maintenance logbooks will be revised. This training session will also cover any questions or concerns about your new Line Isolation Monitor.
